New stock from Signatory Vintage has arrived. A new shipment of the 100 Proof Collection from Signatory Vintage is here with a few more years maturation on every bottle. Signatory bottled at 57.1% alc/vol and matured in sherry casks, these are amazing value and now sought after through America and Europe. These whiskies can’t be missed.

Signatory Vintage are an independent bottler founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington. The name ‘Signatory’ was derived from the initial intention to find a person of suitable standing to sign the labels for bottles drawn from a single cask. The first cask bottled was a 1968 Glenlivet which quickly sold through long before any suitable signee could be found.

Signatory currently bottle at three strengths: 43%, 46% Unchillfiltered (UCF) and Cask Strength. To add proof of authenticity to their cask strength bottlings, Signatory always include the cask numbers, date of distillation, date of bottling and number of bottles produced.Signatory Vintage’s aim is to offer as wide a range of whiskies as possible, some of which are not even bottled by the proprietary distillery. This allows malt enthusiast to sample the huge variety of subtle differences which occur between casks.

In 2002 Signatory Vintage expanded their business operations by acquiring the Edradour distillery in Pitlochry from Pernod Ricard. For what is one of the smallest distilleries in Scotland, Signatory manage to produce a huge variety of Edradour bottlings, including a vast selection of Straight From The Cask finishes, as well as a heavily peated Ballechin.

Nose: Raisins and sultanas, creamy caramel with notes of malted barley, dark chocolate and espresso.

Palate: Sweet malted barley, dark chocolate, wood spice, espresso, sherry dark fruits and black pepper.

Finish: Medium to long with notes of coffee beans, chocolate and white pepper.

Nose: A wonderfully aromatic bouquet of dried plums, figs, shaved chocolate, walnut whip, dark cherries and mint.

Palate: Walnut whip, bold notes of European oak, blackcurrant, raisins, malted barley and soft hints of menthol.

Finish: Medium to long, expresso, caramel, dark chocolate, garden herbs and dates.

Nose: Lots of sherry notes at first which open to freshly cut oranges, earthy oak notes, soft vanilla and caramel, hints of leather.

Palate: Vanilla and sherry combine to deliver a delicious combination, orange peel and brown sugar, lots of raisin and dried dark fruits with a hint of white grape.

Finish: Medium to long with dried fruits, sherry notes and oak, caramel sweetness and malty notes appear.
